Self-Publishing Summer Camp (Course 1)

No need to get out of your PJ’s for this session. All calls are offered through Zoom (and recorded).
This summer camp teaches the BIG PICTURE of the self-publishing process.

We meet on ZOOM Video Call from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm CST (Regina, Saskatchewan Time) Monday, July 8th, 2019- Thursday, July 11th, 2019.
If you have an idea for a book but have not started writing it, this course will teach you everything you need to know about the things you will need to do as a self-published author. You do NOT need to have a book ready to take this course and you will likely get many more book ideas as we move through the content. If you do have a completed book (with all files ready to go) then you could essentially follow along and have your book published within a week or two. YOU WILL HAVE HOMEWORK. And if you have a book ready to go, homework will be the application of what has been taught that day.

• Differences between traditional and self-publishing.
• Self-publishing accounts and set up
• Types of books to consider
• Imprints and ISBNs
• Book production:  interior files, cover designs, paperback and Kindle conversion
• Self-publishing tools (you get my black book of tools)
• File approval and snags
• How to get books live on Amazon in paperback and Kindle
• Launching your book online and offline (paperback and Kindle)
• Marketing: We touch on some aspects of creating a solid marketing plan but I offer Marketing, Promotion & Distribution of Your Book Summer Camp (Course 2- offered August 5-8, 2019) and that course focuses on SOLID MARKETING STRATEGIES. Make sure you take a peek at that as well.

(NOTE: We do not spend a lot of time on the mapping out of your book idea (as this is NOT a writing class) but I would encourage you to visit my website, scroll down the page and sign up for the free STORYMAP ADVENTURE to get some ideas on how to outline your book.
